TrackerControl empowers you to manage and control app tracking. Monitor user behavior data collection for enhanced privacy and security.
TrackerControl is an Android application designed to combat pervasive user tracking within mobile apps. It achieves this by combining multiple techniques, including a custom blocklist derived from analyzing over 2 million apps, alongside the Disconnect Firefox blocklist and DuckDuckGo Tracker Radar for mobile applications. To enhance privacy further, TrackerControl offers optional DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) encryption to protect user’s DNS traffic from their ISP. Furthermore, it supports custom blocklists and utilizes signatures from ClassyShark3xodus/Exodus Privacy for analyzing tracker libraries within app code. This approach involves a local VPN server on the Android device, enabling analysis of network communications without requiring root access or external VPN servers. TrackerControl distinguishes itself by minimizing privacy risks compared to other solutions by only logging meta data about network communication and avoiding SSL interception. Its open-source nature ensures transparency and continuous improvement.
