SolveSpace is a free, open-source 2D and 3D CAD program that offers a constraint-based parametric modeling experience. This software allows users to create both 2D parts (drawings exportable as DXF, PDF or SVG) and 3D models using extrudes, revolves, and boolean operations, along with 3D assembly verification features. SolveSpace also supports CAM data preparation by exporting vector art for waterjet or laser cutters, and generating STEP or STL files for import into other CAM software. Its mechanism design capabilities enable the simulation of planar or spatial linkages with various joint types (pin, ball, slide).
