**SMPlayer:** A powerful media player offering comprehensive control over video playback, including DVD/VCD support & MPlayer filter integration. Remember your preferences!
SMPlayer is a comprehensive front-end application built for MPlayer, offering users a complete experience from basic video playback (including DVDs and VCDs) to advanced features like MPlayer filter support. It allows users to easily play almost all video formats without needing to install additional codecs, thanks to its foundation on MPlayer. A key feature is SMPlayer’s ability to remember and restore the settings of previously played files, enabling users to resume playback exactly where they left off, including audio tracks, subtitles, and volume levels. Furthermore, SMPlayer now supports MPV, expanding its compatibility and functionality even further.
