Quiet is a decentralized team chat application designed as an alternative to platforms like Slack and Discord, emphasizing software freedom, decentralization, and privacy. Built with TypeScript, Electron, and React Native, it uses Tor for direct data synchronization between devices, eliminating the need for central servers. Key features include end-to-end encryption, team chat functionality with member invitations via invite links, Slack-like channels, image sharing (with copy/paste, drag & drop, and previews), large file transfers without size limits, and desktop notifications. The application also offers keyboard navigation within channels and supports a fully peer-to-peer Android app, as well as Mac, Windows, Linux, and iOS apps (TestFlight).
