Outline VPN provides secure internet access for journalists & news organizations. Protect sensitive communications and research data online with Outline VPN.
Outline VPN provides news organizations with secure access to the internet for research, communication, and reporting. This open-source application, available on Windows and Linux (with macOS coming soon), allows users to easily create a corporate virtual private network (VPN) on their own server or utilize services like DigitalOcean. The Outline Manager facilitates creating a server and sharing access with multiple accounts, often using readily available cloud hosting solutions starting around $5 USD per month. Connecting is simple: accept an organization’s invitation, download the app, and click “connect.” This streamlined process enables journalists to safely communicate and protect their data while accessing information online.
