Nightmare TV is a premium, native IPTV player available on Windows 10/11, Android TV, and macOS, built with the libmpv 2026 engine. Unlike competitors like ExoPlayer and VLC, Nightmare TV offers superior 4K HEVC+DTS playback, including studio-grade decoding and real-time BT.2390 HDR tone-mapping across platforms (per-frame peak detect, gamut desaturate). This allows for seamless viewing of high-quality content. Users can import their own playlists via M3U, Xtream Codes, or XMLTV formats. The software is a player only; users provide the content. Currently in version 2.0.11 (July 2026), Nightmare TV supports one-click installs and auto-updates. Pricing includes a free 14-day trial with no card required, followed by monthly ($5.99) or yearly ($29) subscription options, or a lifetime purchase for $39 (single device) or $55 (three devices).
