Chamilo

Chamilo is a free, open-source learning management system (LMS), licensed under GNU/GPL, designed to enhance global access to education and knowledge. Supported by the Chamilo Association, its mission includes promoting the software, maintaining communication channels, and fostering a network of service providers and contributors. Chamilo aims to deliver high-quality education at reduced costs through free distribution, improved user interfaces optimized for developing countries, and a public e-learning campus. Two versions exist: the 1.* version, directly based on Dokeos, and the 3.0 LCMS (Learning Content Management System), which represents a completely new platform for e-learning and collaboration.
